  5. performance artist; reportedly a suicide; in New York City.
  6. Eichelberger took on male and female roles with equal zest. A
  7. familiar denizen of Charles Ludlam's Ridiculous Theatrical
  8. Company in New York City, Eichelberger pranced and prowled
  9. through Greek tragedy, Shakespeare and Shaw. In his celebrated
  10. one-man condensation of King Lear (retitled Leer), he portrayed
  11. the King, the Fool and Cordelia, while accompanying himself on
  12. the accordion, concertina and piano. He could also turn
  13. cartwheels, eat fire and make his own wigs.
